INTAN JAYA - The Raider Infantry Battalion 509/Balawara Yudha Kostrad, is part of the Indonesian Armed Forces Operational Command (KOOPS TNI) in Papua, which carries out mobile security at the border of Indonesia and Papua New Guinea, especially in the Intan Jaya Regency area, Papua Tengah Province. On Monday, 15 July 2024, in the context of regional security duties, the 509 Task Forces conducted a patrol and had the opportunity to greet children in the Agisiga Village, Agisiga District.
The 509 Task Forces Commander, Lieutenant Colonel Dian Dessiawan Setyadi, has left a message to the Soldiers who will conduct the patrol. The message is that every Soldier should use their assignment for positive things, not just carrying out duties on a daily basis. The message was immediately answered with the initiative and creativity of the Kodim Persiapan Post, led by Second Lieutenant Alvinta, by communicating and providing the basic educational necessities of the Agisiga children during the patrol.

By continuing to prioritize security aspects, the Soldiers invited communication and the Agisiga children responded enthusiastically. In this Social Communication, the Soldiers also had the opportunity to distribute stationery and several books needed as basic educational necessities for the children. After receiving the aid of stationery and a book, a child, named Simon Ulau, expressed his appreciation very happily and said, "Thank you, Om Tentara (Soldier). Glorious TNI.”
“The initiative of the 509 Task Forces to distribute stationeries and books in Agisiga Village is the TNI's effort to provide services for the basic necessities of the community, especially children's education, to support the acceleration of development in the Papua region, " said the KOOPS TNI Commanding General, Brigadier General Lucky Avianto, upon receiving the program report.
